Colorado River Law Enforcement & Volunteers
The Boating Safety Officer Volunteers provide support for search and rescue, OUI Checkpoints & Wolf Pack Operations, lake water sampling, traffic control for launch and retrieve operations at state parks facilities and assisting with vessels in distress. They also provide safety literature at safety fairs and marinas, inform boaters of water safety, rules of the road & equipment requirements as well provide displays for community parades, etc. Some of the Boating Safety Officers are Certified Instructors and also assist with Grade School Classroom instruction.

Lake Havasu Activity
The Mohave County Sheriff Office works closely with all the Colorado River Law Enforcement Agencies (CRLEA). As a result you will notice the San Bernadino County Sheriff, Game & Fish, Fish & Wildlife, Bureau of Land Management, State Parks and Lake Havasu Police Dept, personnel all working with the Mohave County Sheriff at the Contact Point Safety Center. A coordinated CRLEA meeting is held annually to review the previous year activities of each agency and review their future plans to enhance the safety and protection of their respective area.
